Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W150-DA14-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It links motion commands from a CNC or PLC to compatible Indramat servo motors and regulates the current and velocity loops needed for controlled movement. In automated machinery, the drive converts control signals into motor power so axes can accelerate, hold speed, and respond to changing load conditions. This makes it suitable for positioning and speed-controlled applications in production equipment, transfer systems, and other multi-axis machines. Its role is to serve as the power and control stage between the higher-level controller and the motor rather than as a standalone motion unit.
The controller communicates with the master control system through an analog interface, allowing speed or torque setpoints to be delivered as continuous voltage signals. This input method supports systems that use conventional analog command signals instead of fiber-optic or network-based control. Its output stage is rated for 150 A, so the unit can supply the high peak currents required by large synchronous servomotors during acceleration and short overload periods. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, which protects against finger contact with live parts but still requires installation in a closed electrical cabinet. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C, and position information is returned through digital servo feedback so the controller can maintain closed-loop regulation during motion.
Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so unobstructed airflow around the heat sink is needed inside the cabinet. The cooling air is drawn from inside the cabinet, so panel layout has a direct effect on thermal performance during continuous operation. Installation altitude is limited to 1000 m, and greater elevations require current and switching derating to control component temperature. For non-operating periods, the unit can be stored from -30 to +85 °C when moisture is controlled by proper packaging. The product is part of Line 02, and it also uses Function ID Version 01 with Version 1.
