Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactured the DDS02.1-W150-DA06-01-FW drive controller. It is a Digital AC Servo Drive Controller in the DDS Drive Controllers series, and it regulates torque, speed, and position of connected servo motors in automated production lines. The module is installed in a multi-axis rack, where it exchanges commands with a central PLC and serves as both the power stage and the diagnostic node for the motor branch. Its role is to convert DC bus voltage into a controlled three-phase output that follows commanded motion profiles during acceleration, steady running, and deceleration. This arrangement allows the drive to support coordinated axis movement without placing the control electronics at the motor.

The controller exchanges setpoints through an analog interface, so velocity or torque references arrive as ±10 V signals rather than through fieldbus frames. Using an analog command path makes the unit suitable for systems that generate conventional reference signals instead of digital network telegrams. Internally, it handles a continuous motor phase current of 150 A, so the connected cables and protective devices must be sized for that load. Heat produced by the power transistors is removed by internal air cooling, so the cabinet must provide enough airflow instead of relying on a separate fan mounted on the unit. Position feedback is returned through digital servo feedback, allowing closed-loop regulation during motion. Because the feedback loop is closed inside the drive, the controller can compare commanded and actual values continuously while the axis is moving. The specified ambient operating range is 0–45 °C, which supports full output in typical machine-room conditions.

The housing has an IP20 rating, which provides finger-safe protection while leaving the ventilation openings exposed to the cabinet interior. Because the enclosure is ventilated, the cabinet layout should keep dust-producing components away from the cooling path. Installation is approved up to 1000 m above sea level, and operation above that height may require additional cooling or derating. Long-term storage is permitted from -30 to +85 °C, which supports storage in non-conditioned warehouse spaces. Hardware Version 1 is used with Line 02 electronics and Function ID Version 01.
