Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W150-D is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit is intended for cabinet installation and converts rectified DC bus power into controlled three-phase output for a compatible servo motor. The integrated communication slot allows the controller to interface with the plant bus from inside the cabinet. It works with digital servo feedback so the drive can regulate torque and speed accurately during positioning, transfer, and material-handling tasks. The controller processes motor feedback continuously so current output follows the commanded motion profile instead of open-loop voltage commands. This closed-loop operation helps the connected axis respond smoothly to load changes and commanded speed changes in packaging machines, transfer lines, and similar automated equipment.
Its power stage delivers a continuous motor current of 65 A, while short motion peaks can rise to 80 A without exceeding normal semiconductor limits. The control electronics draw only 500 mA from the cabinet's +24 V supply, which helps keep auxiliary power wiring modest. A nominal DC bus level of 300 VDC supplies the voltage that the inverter modulates into motor phase currents. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow must move across the heat sink during operation. The housing has an IP20 rating, which means the drive is intended to remain inside a protective enclosure where accidental contact with energized parts is prevented.
The drive's output stage is rated for up to 150 A, providing current headroom for demanding acceleration cycles on high-inertia axes. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, with output derating above 45 °C to limit thermal stress in the power section. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m without additional correction. Moisture conditions can reach 25 g/m³ absolute humidity and up to 95 % relative humidity when condensation is prevented. Condensation must be avoided during operation, especially in humid production areas with changing cabinet temperatures.
