The DDS02.1-W100-RL02-01-FW is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is installed in multi-axis automation cabinets, where it regulates motor current and velocity for connected servo axes. By converting commands from the motion control system into precise output at the motor, it supports coordinated positioning on packaging lines, material-handling stations, and assembly cells. In synchronized systems, this arrangement helps each axis follow commanded motion while sharing a common control structure with neighboring drives.
The controller delivers a continuous output of 100 A, which is the maximum phase current the power stage can supply without derating. Electrical parts are finger-safe because the housing meets IP20. That enclosure level helps prevent accidental contact with live internal parts when the unit is installed inside a cabinet. Heat from the power electronics is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air passes across the heat sink without external ducts. Reliable speed feedback is obtained through the integrated resolver feedback interface, allowing the drive to close its velocity and position loops while remaining resistant to electrical noise. Operation is permitted between 0 to 45 °C, and the unit is part of Line 02 with Function ID version 01 and hardware version 1.
The drive may be mounted up to 1000 m above sea level before additional cooling or derating is required. Its command channel supports single-axis position control, so the controller governs one motor while sharing a common DC bus with neighboring axes. When the machine is idle or in transit, the electronics can be stored safely between -30 to 85 °C without damage to components or memory. Application-specific functions are provided as a separate firmware subitem, so the control software is supplied independently from the power section. This arrangement separates the application program from the base hardware and keeps the drive matched to the required control task.
