The DDS02.1-W100-R is engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a digital AC servo drive controller, it interfaces between the mains supply and a synchronous or induction motor so the power stage can regulate current while the control section manages velocity and position loops inside automated machinery. Within a cabinet, the device converts command words from higher-level motion controllers into precise three-phase output, which allows coordinated axis movement in material-handling gantries, rotary index tables, tool spindles, and other machines that require accurate motor response.

This controller uses internal cabinet air cooling, so airflow already present in the control cabinet removes switching-loss heat without requiring an external blower or separate cooling hardware. The unit delivers a continuous output of 100 A, which is the maximum motor phase current available during normal duty. Safe operation is supported within an ambient range of 0 – 45 °C, and staying within this range helps prevent thermal derating of the power semiconductors during sustained operation. Its housing has an IP20 rating, which provides finger-safe access to internal power electronics and still requires installation inside a closed panel for protection from dust and moisture. The drive uses resolver feedback for position sensing, allowing reliable rotor-angle tracking during low-speed operation. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level.

Long-term storage is accommodated between -30 – 85 °C, allowing the controller to be warehoused or shipped through varying climates without damage to insulation materials or other internal components. The controller belongs to product line 02, which places it with the same generation of compatible supply and interface modules used in the DDS platform. It is built as version 1, identifying the release level of this controller.
