Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W100-DS51-01-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. This digital AC servo drive controller acts as an axis module that regulates three-phase output for servo motors in automated machinery, converting motion commands into precisely timed current pulses. It installs alongside compatible supply units in a shared backplane to create compact multi-axis racks for packaging lines, printing presses, and material-handling systems. That arrangement allows one control platform to coordinate several motion axes in a single cabinet without requiring separate standalone drive housings for each motor.
Communication with the higher-level control is handled through a SERCOS interface, enabling deterministic cycle times and standardized telegram structures for closed-loop motion control and diagnostics. The power section delivers a continuous phase current of 100 A, so the drive can energize medium-power motors without current foldback under rated load. Thermal management relies on air from inside the control cabinet, so the unit draws ambient panel air across its heat sink and requires adequate enclosure ventilation. With a protection class of IP20, live parts are protected against accidental finger contact, but the controller must be mounted inside an electrical cabinet. Feedback is processed through digital servo feedback, providing position and velocity data for accurate axis regulation. Reliable operation is permitted between 0 – 45 °C, where the controller maintains its electrical performance.
Additional parameters cover storage and installation limits for the controller. The electronics can be stored or transported between -30 – 85 °C without harming standard electrical components when the unit is not energized. Mounting is permissible at heights up to 1000 m above sea level before derating is required. The function ID version is 01, and the controller is part of Line 02 with Version 1 hardware. These identifiers distinguish the product revision used for this model.
