The DDS02.1-W100-DS24-04-FW is a digital servo drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series. It occupies one slot in a modular power rack and links a supply module to an AC servo motor. In automated assembly, packaging, and material-handling stations, it converts DC bus energy into a pulse-width-modulated three-phase output so torque, speed, and position can be controlled with the connected motor. This arrangement suits machines that combine several coordinated drives in one enclosure. It is also well suited to modular installations where a shared supply feeds several servo axes from the same rack.
The drive communicates with higher-level motion controllers through the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic cycle times for coordinated axes. Its continuous output capability is rated at 100 A, providing the current needed for demanding servo applications. Rotor position is returned through digital servo feedback, which supports accurate speed and position control, while internal air cooling removes heat by moving cabinet air across the heat sink.
