The DDS02.1-W100-DL40-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts command data from a higher-level control into regulated current for a compatible servo motor. This allows packaging lines, pick-and-place systems, and other automated stations to control torque, speed, and position on a single axis. Its role is to supply modulated power while maintaining the closed-loop response needed for repeatable motion during continuous machine cycles.

The drive is rated for continuous output of 100 A, so wiring and protective devices must match that load. Its enclosure has an IP20 rating, which protects against accidental finger contact with live parts but still requires installation inside a cabinet. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so thermal management depends on airflow inside the control cabinet rather than outside air movement.
