Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W100-DL05-01-FW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a digital AC servo drive controller, it provides closed-loop regulation of torque, speed, and position for Indramat servomotors used in automated handling, packaging, and machining cells. It is intended for servo systems that require accurate motion control on individual machine axes. The unit belongs to Line 02 and is released as Version 1 with Function ID version 01. This arrangement supports coordinated operation with compatible system modules.
The controller feeds the motor phases with a continuous output of 100 A, so connected cables, fuses, and bus supplies must be sized for that current. Its housing has an IP20 rating, which limits installation to an enclosed cabinet. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, and the device draws air from inside the cabinet during operation. Axis commands are exchanged through the built-in single-axis position control interface, allowing direct communication with higher-level motion control. Feedback from the connected motor is returned as digital servo feedback, giving the drive precise rotor angle data for closed-loop operation. This feedback arrangement helps the controller maintain stable speed regulation and accurate positioning response.
Ambient limits affect cabinet placement and storage conditions. The unit operates between 0 – 45 °C and can be stored or transported within –30 – 85 °C. After exposure to wide temperature changes, condensation should be avoided before power is applied. Installations are approved up to 1000 m above sea level, and higher elevations may require derating or additional cooling. Required application software is ordered as a separate subitem rather than being pre-loaded on the controller.
