Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W100-DA02-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It regulates torque, speed, and position for synchronous and induction motors that power conveyors, packaging axes, and material-handling stations in automated plants. By converting low-level control signals into regulated three-phase output, the unit forms the link between a motion controller and the motor windings, closing the electrical side of the servo loop inside a protected control cabinet. This arrangement allows the higher-level control system to send motion commands while the drive manages the motor current needed to carry them out.
This controller supplies up to 100 A of continuous output current, so it can drive medium-to-large motors without additional amplifiers. Command signals reach the drive through an analog interface, allowing ±10 V speed or torque references from PLC modules. Rotor position and velocity are returned through digital servo feedback, enabling the current loops to update in real time and maintain tight following error. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air moves across the heat sink without external ducting. Adequate panel ventilation is still required to carry that heat away from the enclosure during sustained operation. The unit is part of Line 02, which identifies its design line within the product range.
The drive uses Function ID Version 01, and the electronic assembly is Version 1. It is supplied with firmware ordered separately, so the software package can be selected to match the intended application. Keeping the controller and software item separate allows the same drive platform to be used for different machine functions. These identifiers distinguish the revision and software arrangement used with the controller.
