The Bosch DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01 is a digital drive controller. The hardware and firmware for the device are modular. The firmware developed by Bosch come with support for different feature sets that are optimized for different applications. For this reason, the drive firmware has to be ordered separately. A completely configured DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01 drive controller hardware is comprised of a basic unit, a software module, a command communication module and optional plug-in modules. The DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01 features a SERCOS command communication module. The output of the DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01 is 50 Amps. Integrated digital servo feedback is supported by the drive. The DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01 cools via natural convection of air from inside the cabinet. For this reason large cabinets are required for drive mounting. Air conditioning may be required in certain cases for maintenance of ambient temperature.
The optimal ambient temperature for an operating DDS02.1-W050-DS27-01 is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted ambient temperature with output derating is 55 degrees Celsius.
