Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. Inside an automation cabinet, it converts motion commands into controlled three-phase power so connected motors can follow precise speed and torque profiles. This supports synchronized movement on conveyors, pick-and-place axes, and other industrial production equipment. The controller is intended for multi-axis systems where stable current regulation and coordinated motion are required during acceleration, constant-speed operation, and deceleration.
Communication with the host control system occurs through the SERCOS interface, which provides real-time optical data exchange for coordinated axis control. A continuous output current of 50 A indicates how much load current the power stage can supply without thermal derating. The housing has an IP20 rating, so it blocks accidental finger contact and larger solid objects but still requires installation inside an enclosure. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, with cabinet air moving across the heat sink through an integral fan instead of external ducting. The unit is intended for operation in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C, allowing it to run alongside other power electronics in a properly ventilated cabinet.
Permitted mounting altitude reaches 1000 m above sea level, because thinner air at greater heights reduces cooling effectiveness. During storage or transport, the electronics can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C without damage when the unit is not operating. Motor position data is exchanged through digital servo feedback, allowing the control loops to use encoder information for accurate regulation of speed and position. The product is part of Line 02 and carries Function ID 01 with Function ID Version 01 and Version 1. These identifiers distinguish the controller within the DDS platform without changing its core application as a servo drive.
