The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 is a digital AC drive with SERCOS interface. It is a three-phase AC drive which is based on a digital microprocessor. It can be used for industrial applications that include CNC machine tool axes, handling systems, printing machines, robots and electronic transmissions. The drive control, monitoring and diagnostics functions are performed by a digital signal processor. The SERCOS interface on the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 enables use of the drive for control of AC motors that are equipped with a SERCOS interface. SERCOS is a serial-communication standard for real-time data exchange. The nodes on the SERCOS network are connected by a fiber-optic ring. The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 supports the following operating modes: torque loop, velocity loop and position loop. SERCOS allows display and entry of drive data, parameters and diagnoses and use of high speed resolution.
The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 has a modular design. The basic unit has slots for plug in modules. This allows the drive to be adapted to different configurations. The rated output of the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 is 50 Amps and the drive supports digital servo feedback. The drive is air cooled and requires a large control cabinet for effective heat dissipation. Air conditioning may be required in some cases for proper cooling. The recommended ambient conditions that allow operation with rated data include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature, maximum 95% relative humidity and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The temperature range this is permitted for storage and transport is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius. The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 drive should be operated in a dust-free environment. If dust is present then air filters should be used to remove dust from the air. Protection rating of the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-01 is IP20.
