The DDS02.1-W050-DA01-000 is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It forms the power and regulation stage between a motion controller and an Indramat servo motor, translating command signals into controlled three-phase output that positions machine axes with fast and repeatable response. In automated packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and printing presses, this unit closes the electromechanical loop so that commanded moves are reproduced quickly and consistently. It is suited for applications that require stable torque, speed, and position control during repetitive motion cycles.

The drive can deliver a continuous output of 50 A. This is the maximum current the connected motor may draw during normal duty without overheating either device. An enclosure classified as IP20 limits physical access to live parts but requires installation inside a protected cabinet. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, meaning cabinet air passes through the heat sink and must be managed by the system ventilation design. Motion commands arrive through an analog interface, allowing ±10 V speed or torque references from a PLC or stand-alone controller. Rotor position is returned to the drive over digital servo feedback, enabling closed-loop correction of position error with high resolution. Installations are permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, because reduced air density above that height can limit convective heat removal.
