Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W025-RS01-02 is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a drive controller, it supplies regulated three-phase power to synchronous or induction motors and exchanges real-time motion data with higher-level automation systems. The unit closes the torque and position loop between a machine controller and the attached motor, allowing coordinated multi-axis operation in industrial equipment. This arrangement supports accurate speed control, responsive torque delivery, and stable motion during repeated machine cycles.
At the fieldbus level, the controller communicates through the SERCOS interface, which permits deterministic exchange of setpoints and actual values over a fiber-optic ring. Power delivery to the motor is limited to a continuous output of 25 A, so the drive is matched with motors whose current demand stays within that range during normal operation. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling that circulates cabinet air across the heat sink, and the housing has an IP20 protection class for installation inside an enclosure. Position and speed loops are closed through resolver feedback, which provides rotor position signals for the control system. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0–45 °C, making the unit suitable for standard industrial cabinet conditions.
Storage is permitted from -30–85 °C, so the controller can tolerate typical transport and long-term inactive conditions when unpowered. The drive can be mounted at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level, which covers most factory installations. The unit carries Function ID 01, identifying the fixed control feature set used by this version of the product. Its combination of closed-loop motor control, fiber-optic communication, and cabinet-mounted cooling makes it suitable for coordinated servo applications that require steady current delivery and consistent feedback processing.
