The DDS02.1-W025-RS01-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. In multi-axis machines, the unit supplies regulated three-phase power to matched servo motors, closing the control loop between the drive and the CNC or PLC. By modulating output based on real-time feedback, it coordinates torque and velocity so that conveyor sections, tooling heads, or handling robots follow programmed motion profiles with repeatable accuracy. This arrangement lets the controller respond quickly to load changes during acceleration, deceleration, and constant-speed motion.

The controller communicates over the SERCOS interface, allowing cyclic data exchange over fiber optics with higher-level motion controllers at deterministic update rates. Its output stage is sized for a continuous current of 25 A, which sets the maximum motor torque that can be delivered under rated conditions. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, as the internal blower draws ambient air across the heat sink without requiring external ducting.
