The DDS02.1-W025-DS61-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. This unit supplies regulated three-phase power to matched servomotors so motion axes in automated production equipment can follow commanded speed, position, and torque limits. By converting low-level commands from a higher-level motion system into controlled motor currents, the controller serves as the electrical link between the PLC and the mechanical load. It is intended for closed-loop axis control in packaging, handling, and other automated machines that require stable motor regulation during repeated operating cycles.
The drive communicates over the SERCOS interface, allowing real-time exchange of setpoints and status data on a fiber-optic ring. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling that pulls cabinet air across the heat sink, so no external blower is needed. A continuous output of 25 A is the current the power stage can deliver without derating. The housing has an IP20 protection category, so it is finger-safe and intended for installation inside a cabinet rather than direct exposure to liquids. Operation is permitted from 0 to 45 °C, and temperatures outside this range require derating or added cabinet conditioning to protect the power electronics.
The controller can be stored, when powered down, between -30 to 85 °C, which helps protect internal components during transport or extended storage. Installation altitude is limited to 1000 m, because thinner air reduces cooling effectiveness at higher elevations. Position and speed information from the motor arrive through digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to close its current and speed loops internally while the higher-level control sends motion commands over the network. The controller belongs to line 02, and version 1 identifies its product generation within the DDS02.1 platform. Standard front connections and modular mounting support installation alongside other DDS units in the same rack.
