Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W025-DS29 is a digital AC servo drive controller used in multi-axis industrial automation. It regulates servo motors where coordinated velocity and torque loops are required. In automated lines, it serves as the power and control link between the motion controller and a compatible servo motor. By translating motion commands from the control system into precise current and voltage patterns, the unit provides closed-loop speed and position control for machinery such as handling robots, printing stations, and packaging equipment. This type of controller is commonly used on synchronized axes that must respond quickly to changing setpoints during start, stop, and reversal sequences.
The drive exchanges real-time motion data through a SERCOS interface, enabling deterministic communication with higher-level PLCs. Its power stage supplies up to 25 A of continuous output current, which indicates the permissible motor load under nominal ambient conditions. Thermal management relies on air from inside the control cabinet, so heat is carried away by internal enclosure airflow rather than by an external fan on the module itself. Rotor position is returned to the controller through digital servo feedback, allowing the unit to calculate instantaneous speed and compensate for load disturbances during each control cycle. All motion parameters and diagnostic flags are processed by the internal control electronics of this Digital AC Servo Drive Controller.
Within the DDS family, the controller is part of line 02 and design version 1. It is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and fits mechanically and electrically with other units in the DDS Drive Controllers series, so multiple axes can be mounted side by side on a common supply. The module uses a standardized slide-in format for cabinet installation alongside neighboring axes. Parameter sets are stored in nonvolatile memory, and the modular housing supports orderly cabinet wiring when several axes share a single DC bus.
