The DDS02.1-W025-DL20-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It works as the closed-loop power stage between a motion controller and a synchronous motor, converting command values into regulated motor output for accurate axis response. This arrangement provides velocity and position regulation for industrial axes in packaging, material handling, and machining cells where repeatable movement is required. It is intended for cabinet-mounted multi-axis systems that use DDS-compatible control architecture.

The controller delivers a rated output of 25 A, enabling it to drive medium-frame servo motors without external current boosters. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air passes through the heat sink and no separate ducting is required. Because cooling air is taken from the cabinet, the enclosure must provide a clean airflow path across the heat sink. A protection rating of IP20 limits the unit to clean, closed cabinets, while keeping terminal access straightforward. Continuous operation is specified for ambient temperatures from 0–45 °C, and within that range the current limit remains constant. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level before derating is required. The communication layer supports single-axis position control, so higher-level interpolation, camming, and gearing functions stay with the supervisory controller while the DDS module closes the position loop internally.

Motor feedback is exchanged through digital servo feedback. This interface provides absolute position and diagnostic data over a single hybrid connector, and the feedback channel returns motor data directly to the drive for position supervision and status monitoring. The non-operating storage range is -30 to +85 °C, allowing storage in unconditioned warehouses before installation. The unit belongs to Line 02 and is supplied in Version 1 within the DDS platform.
