Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.1-W025-DL20-00 drive controller within the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit is a digital AC servo drive controller that links fieldbus commands from a machine controller to the power stage of a single servo motor used in indexing tables, pick-and-place modules, or automated presses. By shaping the output waveform and supervising current, it turns motion commands into controlled shaft movement while helping protect the connected motor and power electronics during faults or overloads. Its control structure is suited to packaging, assembly, and transfer systems that assign a dedicated drive to each motion task.

The controller uses single-axis position control, so its internal processor closes the motion loop for one motor and keeps axis tuning straightforward. Heat generated by the IGBT bridge is removed through internal air cooling, which relies on cabinet airflow and does not require external ducting. Rotor angle is monitored with digital servo feedback, giving the drive the data needed for velocity calculation and position correction. During continuous duty, the power stage can supply 25 A, which suits medium-frame Indramat motors. Electrical terminals and service access are enclosed by an IP20 housing that helps prevent accidental contact with live circuitry while still allowing ventilation through the enclosure openings.

The controller operates in ambient temperatures from 0 – 45 °C, which fits the conditions found in most industrial control cabinets. It can withstand storage or transport exposure between -30 – 85 °C without damage to internal components when the unit is not in operation. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, so it can be used in most manufacturing facilities without altitude-related derating. The unit is Version 1 of the 02 line. These limits support standard indoor automation environments and typical warehouse handling before installation.
