Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W025-D is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit serves as the power and control interface between a servo motor and higher-level motion logic in automated machinery, modulating phase current to support precise velocity and position loops. This allows the drive to regulate acceleration, speed stability, and stopping accuracy during closed-loop operation. When installed in multi-axis racks, it supports packaging lines, material-handling cells, and other motion platforms that rely on controlled torque response.
This controller is designed for cabinets supplied with filtered air, and its cooling method is internal air cooling, so heat is released into the enclosure and must be removed by the cabinet’s own fans. Because the drive rejects its heat into the panel, enclosure ventilation must keep internal temperatures stable during continuous duty. It provides a continuous output of 25 A, allowing connected motors to draw that current without derating under the stated operating conditions. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a grounded control panel rather than in open industrial areas. The allowable ambient operating range is 0 to 45 °C. Drive-to-motor synchronization is supported through digital servo feedback, allowing the controller to process position signals and react quickly to motion deviations during operation.
Physical installation is limited to elevations up to 1000 m, because reduced air density above that height lowers cooling effectiveness. During shipping or extended shutdowns, the unit can be stored at -30 to 85 °C, which allows nonoperating storage in unheated or seasonally hot indoor spaces. The controller is identified as Version 1 and belongs to line 02. These identifiers place the unit within a specific DDS design line and product revision used for this model.
