Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W015-R controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. As a digital AC servo drive controller, it converts DC bus power into controlled three-phase output that regulates motor torque, speed, and position in CNC machines, printing lines, and automated assembly cells. The module mounts in a drive rack adjacent to a supply unit, and plug-in option cards allow adaptation to various feedback devices and fieldbus protocols used in decentralized motion systems. This arrangement lets the drive serve as a compact power stage for precision axis control in multi-axis equipment.
Its electrical section is rated for a continuous phase current of 15 A, which indicates the steady load the transistors and heat sink can support during operation. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so cabinet air moves across the heat sink instead of drawing outside plant air through the unit. The housing has an ingress rating of IP20, which helps block fingers and solid objects larger than 12.5 mm from reaching internal parts. Installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level are permitted without current derating. This cooling method supports use in enclosed control cabinets where clean internal airflow is preferred.
The drive operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C, allowing installation in standard lightly ventilated control cabinets. When equipment is de-energized, the electronics tolerate storage temperatures from -30 to 85 °C, which supports transport and warehouse storage. Motor position is evaluated through resolver feedback, allowing reliable rotor reference under vibration and electrical noise. That feedback method supports stable commutation and speed control during typical industrial operation. The unit is part of Line 02 and Version 1.
