The DDS02.1-W015-DS50-01-FW is a modular drive controller. Bosch has designed the DDS drive family for use with MKD, MDD and LAR AC motors. DDS drive controllers require a regulated 24 Volts DC power supply. The safety guidelines provided by Bosch in the product documentation should be followed at all times. Proper transport, storage and installation are prerequisites for optimal and safe operation of the drive controller. Appropriately qualified personnel should work on the drive and related equipment. Only spare parts approved by Bosch should be used. Startup of DDS drive is only allowed once it is ensured that the machine in which the drive is installed complies with EC directive 89/392/EWG. The drive should be connected to ground before it is powered on. Coming in contact with drive parts that are carrying voltages in excess of 50 Volts can lead to injury.
Therefore those working on the drive should wait five minutes after disconnecting power before starting any activity. The DDS02.1-W015-DS50-01-FW is rated for 15 Amps output current. The drive features include digital servo feedback and SERCOS communication interface. Firmware for the drive has to be ordered as a separate subposition.
