Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W015-DS40-02-FW is a 15 Amps rated DDS series drive controller. It is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for motor control applications. The DDS drives have a modular architecture. This allows flexibility of installing different plug in modules to configure the drive for different applications. The drive software is also modular. The drive firmware, which has to be ordered separately, can be ordered with different features sets. Therefore both the hardware and software of DDS drives are modular and can adapted to a multitude of applications. The communication module installed on the DDS02.1-W015-DS40-02-FW is SERCOS. DDS drives can also be ordered with analog and single-axis positioning communication modules. The drive supports digital servo feedback which enables it to track the motor parameters and control them. The drive uses natural convection for cooling.
The nominal value of the voltage on the DC bus of the DDS02.1-W015-DS40-02-FW is 300 Volts DC. The permissible ambient temperature with rated data is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The maximum installation elevation with rated data is 1000 meters above mean sea level. The maximum temperature and elevation at which the drive can be operated with derated data are 55 degrees Celsius and 5000 meters respectively. The details for the reduction factor of the drive that results due to drive operation outside recommended ambient conditions are provided in the drive documentation. The relative humidity in the vicinity of an operating DDS02.1-W015-DS40-02-FW drive should be less than 95%. The housing for the DDS02.1-W015-DS40-02-FW has IP20 protection rating. Since the drive housing provides no protection from dust and moisture, it should be installed inside an industrial control cabinet. Trained and qualified technical personnel should install the DDS02.1-W015-DS40-02-FW drive.
