Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W015-DS11-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It regulates torque, speed, and position for compatible synchronous and asynchronous servo motors in rack-based automation systems. The unit mounts in a multi-axis cabinet and exchanges real-time control data with higher-level motion systems. In assembly cells, packaging lines, and printing machines, it closes the drive loop between the power stage and the mechanical axis by converting CNC or PLC commands into controlled motor currents.
The controller communicates over the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic fiber-optic networking with the master controller and neighboring axes. During continuous operation it supplies up to 15 A of output current, which indicates the continuous motor phase current available from the power stage. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so cabinet air passes through the heat sink instead of relying on external ducting. The housing has an IP20 rating and must be installed inside an enclosure that protects against dust and accidental contact. Electronic components are intended for ambient temperatures of 0 to 45 °C, allowing full operation within that range.
Feedback from the attached motor is returned through digital servo feedback, allowing the controller to calculate high-resolution speed and position without a separate resolver card. Reliable operation is maintained up to 1000 m above sea level, which covers most industrial plant locations. When powered down, the electronics tolerate storage from -30 to 85 °C, supporting transport and indoor storage in unconditioned spaces. The unit is part of Line 02 and uses Function ID Version 01 with hardware Version 1. These identifiers distinguish the control configuration used by this model and support correct parameter matching.
