The DDS02.1-W015-DS04-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It regulates current and velocity loops for matched servo motors, executing motion commands supplied by a higher-level PLC or motion controller. In industrial automation cells, the unit serves as the power and communication bridge between control logic and the mechanical axis, converting command data into three-phase motor output while monitoring feedback for closed-loop positioning and stable speed control.
Its communication backbone is the SERCOS interface, an optical ring protocol that transmits cyclic setpoints and diagnostic data with very low timing variation.
