Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W015-DA08-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In automated machinery, it converts incoming DC bus power into regulated three-phase output so the connected motor can follow commanded torque and speed values with precision. The unit serves as the interface between motion commands from the machine controller and the rotary work performed by synchronous servo motors on packaging, handling, and processing lines. Because the controller regulates motor current directly, it supports accurate acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state speed control in repeatable machine cycles.
This controller provides a continuous output of 15 A, which is the maximum steady motor current it can deliver. Command references are accepted through an analog interface, making the device suitable for installations where setpoints come from proportional control cards or velocity modules. Position and velocity are returned through digital servo feedback, allowing closed-loop operation without external signal converters. Heat from the power stage is removed by air drawn from inside the control cabinet, so the cabinet must support steady internal airflow. The housing has an IP20 rating, which helps prevent accidental contact with live parts and requires installation inside an enclosed panel.
The drive operates at ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C and may be stored from -30 to 85 °C when it is not in use. It maintains full ratings up to 1000 m elevation, and output current must be reduced above that height because thinner air removes less heat. The unit is built for line 02 and revision 1, using the connector arrangement and mounting pattern common to DDS modules. This layout helps it fit cabinets that group several drives in the same motion system. Proper spacing around the module also helps air circulate across the heat-dissipating surfaces during operation.
