Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the DDS02.1-K150-D as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into regulated current and voltage for synchronous or induction servomotors, allowing machine tools, handling robots, and packaging machinery to execute coordinated motion profiles. Designed for the modular DDS platform, it mounts beside a shared supply module on a cold-plate rail and exchanges status, command, and diagnostic data with the plant PLC through the system bus. This arrangement supports compact multi-axis installations that rely on shared power hardware, coordinated data exchange, and centralized motion control. It is suited to applications that need repeatable speed and position control across multiple coordinated axes.
The controller can deliver up to 150 A of continuous output current without thermal derating. Its housing carries an IP20 protection category, so it must be installed in a cabinet and provides basic protection against accidental contact. Reliable operation is specified between 0–45 °C, which suits typical factory environments without extra cooling equipment. Installation altitude may reach 1000 m; above that height, reduced air density may require power reduction for heat removal. Position and speed signals are captured through digital servo feedback, allowing accurate closed-loop control of motor behavior during acceleration, steady running, and deceleration. The unit is part of Line 02 in the DDS platform.
For storage and shipping, the drive withstands ambient conditions from -30 to +85 °C, which helps protect the control boards during warehousing and transport. The unit is Version 1, marking the initial release of this K150 current class. Its role as a digital AC servo drive controller combines power inversion, pulse-width modulation, and closed-loop regulation in one chassis. That integrated approach lets the drive manage current regulation and motion response within the same module.
