Product Description:
The DDS02.1-F050-D is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It works between an Indramat supply module and compatible servo motors, regulating motor current and velocity in multi-axis equipment. By converting control commands from a higher-level system into drive output for synchronous or asynchronous motors, it supports coordinated motion in packaging lines, printing presses, and material-handling machines. This arrangement helps multiple axes start, stop, and change speed in a controlled way. The controller occupies one modular slot in a Rexroth drive rack, which helps keep cabinet layouts compact and organized.
Rated at 50 A, the drive can supply continuous phase current for medium-frame servo motors without reducing output under normal operating conditions. Heat from the power stage is removed through an internal liquid channel that uses coolant, which reduces the need for internal cabinet airflow and supports dense mounting arrangements. This cooling method moves heat out of the module without relying on a blower mounted on the drive. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so it provides finger protection but is intended for installation inside a closed control cabinet. Position and speed regulation rely on digital servo feedback, allowing the controller to process encoder data continuously for closed-loop correction. The permitted ambient operating temperature range is 0 to 45 °C.
The module can operate at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level without current derating, which suits most factory installations. During storage or transport, it can withstand ambient temperatures from -30 to 85 °C, helping protect internal components before installation and after shutdown. Within the DDS platform, the unit belongs to Line 02 and Version 1. Those identifiers distinguish this build within the product range. Its modular format also allows it to be installed alongside other DDS units in a shared drive system.
