Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A200-DS52-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. This rack-mounted module converts DC bus power into precisely timed three-phase output for compatible Indramat servo motors used in assembly cells, printing lines, and material-handling axes. Within an automation network, it executes commanded velocity and position profiles and corrects them each cycle so that every axis closely follows the programmed path. That behavior is important on multi-axis equipment where one delayed response can affect overall machine timing.
Communication with the master control system is handled through the SERCOS interface, a deterministic fiber-optic bus that carries setpoints and diagnostics at sub-millisecond intervals. The power section can supply up to 200 A of continuous output current, so conductor sizing and thermal management must match this rating. Heat is removed by external air cooling, meaning air from outside the cabinet is drawn across the heatsink rather than recirculated internally. The electronics meet IP20, which blocks accidental contact but still requires installation inside a closed enclosure. Position and speed data return through digital servo feedback, allowing high-resolution torque and motion control without analog drift. All components operate in an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C, provided the installation maintains the required airflow path.
Full current capacity is maintained up to 1000 m above sea level; above that height, reduced air density lowers cooling effectiveness and requires output derating. When the unit is stored or transported, it tolerates temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, which helps protect internal materials from thermal stress during non-operating periods. The storage range also supports shipment through unconditioned spaces during seasonal temperature swings. The controller is Version 1.
