Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A200-DS13-01-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is designed to regulate servomotors in multi-axis machinery by converting motion commands from the higher-level control system into precise motor currents. In automated production lines, its role is to coordinate torque, speed, and position so that mechanical axes follow programmed profiles with repeatable accuracy and stable response during changing loads. This type of control is useful in packaging, transfer, and assembly equipment where multiple axes must stay coordinated through frequent starts and stops.
This controller communicates with the motion PLC over a SERCOS interface, enabling deterministic fiber-optic data exchange for cycle-synchronous positioning. Motor position is returned through digital servo feedback, which delivers high-resolution encoder data so the speed and position loops can be closed inside the drive. That closed-loop structure helps the drive correct deviations caused by changing loads and rapid direction changes. The current stage is rated for 200 A continuous output, allowing it to drive medium to large synchronous or induction servomotors under nominal conditions. Thermal management relies on air from outside the control cabinet, so incoming ambient air passes across the heat sink instead of recirculating warm cabinet air. This airflow path also reduces heat buildup around neighboring modules in dense cabinets. Electrical parts are guarded to IP20, which provides finger-safe access protection and suits installation in a climate-controlled cabinet.
The operating range is 0 to 45 °C, while non-operating storage can withstand -30 to 85 °C during shipment or warehouse periods. This range covers normal ambient conditions found in enclosed industrial control cabinets. Reliable function is maintained up to 1000 m installation altitude before derating rules apply at higher elevations. The control section carries Function ID 01 under Line 02 and Version 1, which identifies this configuration within the series.
