Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A200-DS03-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. The unit links higher-level motion commands to an Indramat servo motor, supplying regulated power and closed-loop control for positioning, speed, and torque tasks on automated machinery. This allows one module to manage motor current while also processing command updates and feedback information during axis movement. By integrating with multi-axis lineups, the controller supports modular cabinet layouts and streamlines wiring inside packaging, handling, and machining cells. It belongs to Line 02 within the series.
This controller delivers a continuous output of 200 A, so it can accelerate high-inertia loads without exceeding thermal limits. Command and diagnostic data move over the SERCOS interface, a fiber-optic ring that allows deterministic exchange between the drive, the PLC, and peer axes. Heat generated by the power stage is expelled by external air cooling, so the enclosure needs an inlet path that brings ambient air from outside directly across the heat sink. Position and velocity loops close through digital servo feedback, giving the drive high-resolution rotor information for stable dynamic response. The electronics have an IP20 enclosure rating, which provides finger-safe protection while still requiring installation in a closed cabinet for dust and moisture control.
During operation, the temperature around the heat sink must stay between 0 to 45 °C. In non-powered transit or storage, it tolerates a wider range of -30 to 85 °C. Reliable current capability is maintained up to an installation height of 1000 m above sea level, and higher elevations require added cooling or output derating because thinner air removes less heat from the power section. The unit carries Function ID code 01 and is version 1 within the DDS02 family, which keeps its identification consistent with this drive type.
