The Bosch Rexroth Indramat DDS02.1-A200-DS01-02-FW is a Digital AC Servo Drive Controller from the DDS Drive Controllers series. It features a SERCOS communication interface and uses digital servo feedback. The controller provides a rated current of 200 Amps and is cooled by air from outside the control cabinet.
Internal Product Review
The DDS02.1-A200-DS01-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller with a 200A rated current. External cabinet air cooling and a SERCOS interface make the unit especially appealing for demanding servo applications. A strong choice for precise, high-current motion control.

Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A200-DS01-02-FW controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as a digital AC servo control unit that regulates motor torque and speed in modular automation lines. By linking a drive to a centralized motion system, the unit coordinates synchronous axes and cyclic positioning tasks used in packaging machines, printing presses, and material-handling cells. This type of controller is suited to applications that require repeatable acceleration, stable speed regulation, and coordinated axis behavior across multiple stations.
Communication with the automation system takes place over the SERCOS interface, so real-time parameters are exchanged on an optical ring. The housing uses external air cooling, which pulls cooling air from outside the cabinet instead of recirculating warm enclosure air. Because the cooling path is separated from enclosure air, heat from nearby components is less likely to raise the drive temperature. At full output, the power section can supply up to 200 A of continuous current for high-torque synchronous or induction motors. Position and velocity are closed through digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to process high-resolution motion data during rapid speed changes and positioning moves. The control section requires a separate firmware subitem so the operating software can be matched to the intended machine function.
The controller carries Function ID 01 as its assigned control feature set. It belongs to Line 02 and is released as Version 1. These identifiers place the unit within the appropriate DDS platform for rack-based multi-axis systems that share a common DC bus and communicate through the optical network. They also place the controller in the correct group of compatible system modules. The module format supports installation alongside other drive units in the same system, where each axis is addressed individually by the motion control.
