The DDS02.1-A200-DS01-01 is a digital AC servo drive controller designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In automated production cells, this unit supplies controlled three-phase power to matched servo motors while exchanging status data with the machine PLC, allowing coordinated speed, torque, and positioning routines across multiple axes. It acts between incoming mains power and the motor windings, translating high-level motion commands into precise current profiles that support repeatable cycle times, reduced mechanical shock, and stable accuracy during continuous duty.

The controller communicates with the motion control system through a high-speed SERCOS interface, permitting cyclic setpoint updates and diagnostic reporting over fiber optics. Its output stage is rated for a continuous current of 200 A, which supports large inertia loads and rapid acceleration profiles. Heat generated by the IGBT bridge is removed by external air cooling, meaning ambient air is drawn from outside the cabinet and passed across the heatsink fins. Component access openings meet the IP20 classification, so the drive is intended for sheltered indoor panels. Reliable operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C. The drive carries Function ID 01, Function ID Version 01, and Version 1.

Feedback from the attached motors is processed as digital servo feedback, enabling the drive to close the current and velocity loops internally and forward status data to the supervisory controller. The unit can be installed without performance derating at altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level, which supports typical factory installations. During storage or shipment, it withstands temperatures from -30 to 85 °C, allowing placement in unconditioned warehouses. The unit is part of Line 02 of the DDS platform.
