The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.1-A200-DA01-01-FW is a drive controller. It has a rated output current of 200 Amps. Motor feedback type supported by the drive is digital servo feedback. The communication module on the DDS02.1-A200-DA01-01-FW is an analog interface. As different firmware that support different feature sets are available, Bosch requires that the firmware for the drive controller be ordered as a separate subposition. Together with MDD, LAR and MKD AC motors, the DDS02.1-A200-DA01-01-FW forms an effective drive system. Applications for which the motor and controller combination are well suited include packaging machinery, printing machinery and robotics. DDS drive controllers can be powered from Bosch supply units with a 24 Volts DC supply that is regulated. The basic unit of DDS controllers can be adapted for different applications through the use of appropriate plug in modules.
Three slots are available on the basic unit of the DDS02.1-A200-DA01-01-FW drive for plug in modules. Some of the plug in modules that are available include SERCOS, analog interface with encoder emulator, command card and incremental position interface. Two slots on the basic unit are dedicated slots: one slot is dedicated for the command communication module and another slot is dedicated for the software module. The drive firmware and operating parameters are both stored on the software module. If a drive controller malfunctions, the software module can be moved to the replacement controller The DDS02.1-A200-DA01-01-FW is designed to use air from within the control cabinet for cooling. Is requires a large control cabinet. An air conditioner may also be needed for cooling the drive controller. Proper drive controller installation and operation requires training and experience. Therefore only those with the proper qualifications should be allowed to work on the controller.
