Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A150-DS68-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. Installed between a motion controller and the motor, it modulates current and voltage so servo axes follow commanded profiles in automated machinery. It is intended for cabinet mounting and coordinates torque, velocity, and position loops for synchronous or induction motors on production lines, material-handling cells, and packaging stations. In typical automation systems, it translates motion commands from the control level into the electrical output required by the connected motor.
This model delivers a continuous output of 150 A, allowing it to energize medium- to high-power servo motors without thermal derating in normal operation. The housing is rated at IP20, so it must be installed inside a protective enclosure to prevent contact with live parts. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged through the SERCOS interface, enabling deterministic fiber-optic communication with multiple drives on a single ring. Heat is removed by external air cooling, and the unit draws ambient air from outside the control cabinet to keep semiconductor temperature within limits. Reliable operation is specified for ambient conditions from 0 to 45 °C, which suits typical industrial control environments.
The controller tolerates storage or transport temperatures of -30 to 85 °C, so it can be warehoused or shipped without active climate control. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level; above this altitude, additional derating is required. Motor position and speed are regulated through digital servo feedback, which supports high-resolution commutation and rapid correction of load disturbances. The controller is part of Line 02 and follows version 1 conventions within the DDS platform.
