The DDS02.1-A150-DS03-02-FW is a rapid response drive that is manufactured for controlling the position and speed in industrial assembly lines. This model is also known for its dynamic response and can be used in areas where the load varies continuously. Besides accommodating changing loading and speed conditions, this model can be paired with a wide range of Rexroth’s industrial motors. The MDD, MKD, and LAR series motors are frequently used with this drive system. In combination with this drive controller, the performance characteristics of the motors are drastically improved. This drive system uses advanced resolvers in conjunction with a feedback loop that is closed. This allows constant monitoring of the speed and position values and it is possible to adjust the final rotor position at any instant.
The programmed values of speed and position have to be compared with the actual values. If there is an error or mismatch, the DDS02.1-A150-DS03-02-FW uses corrective signals for quick adjustment. The drive system has been designed for multitasking and is able to support servo applications in addition to the control of the main spindle. Since the structure of this drive system is modular, it can be tailored according to the current applications by making changes in the module configuration. Separate auxiliary modules are available for different drive tasks. The firmware used in this model also comes in the form of a module and can be installed in all identical DDS units.
