Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A150-DS03-02-FW is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. Designed for multi-axis automation racks, this unit regulates torque, speed, and position of connected servo motors by issuing precisely timed current pulses. Within a machine cell, it exchanges real-time motion data with a master control through a dedicated communication link. This allows packaging, transfer, and handling axes to follow commanded profiles with stable speed regulation and accurate positioning. The controller provides closed-loop servo performance in a format suited to standard DDS drive frames.
Communication with higher-level controls is handled through the SERCOS interface, a fiber-optic ring that provides deterministic timing for motion commands. The power section is rated for 150 A of continuous output, allowing the drive to energize medium-to-large Indramat servo motors during sustained load conditions. For thermal management, it uses outside-cabinet air cooling, so the installation must allow a direct airflow path instead of relying only on recirculated panel air. The housing has an IP20 enclosure rating, which limits use to clean electrical enclosures. Reliable operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 45 °C.
Motor position data is processed through digital servo feedback, allowing the control loops to react quickly to speed and position changes. This feedback method supports accurate servo regulation during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state operation. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and storage is allowed from -30 to 85 °C when condensation is avoided. The unit belongs to Line 02, and it uses version 1 logic. The required firmware is ordered separately so the drive can be matched to the intended motor and control setup.
