The DDS02.1-A100-SK01-00 drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. This digital AC servo drive controller regulates current and velocity loops for synchronous and induction motors used in CNC machinery and automated material-handling systems. By coordinating motor torque with feedback devices, the unit forms the interface between a higher-level motion processor and the mechanical axis it drives. It is intended for cabinet-mounted industrial drive systems where precise axis response is required during repeated operating cycles.
In continuous service, the controller supplies up to 100 A of output current, which is the maximum permissible motor phase current before protective limits engage. Thermal energy is removed by external air from outside the control cabinet, so the installation must provide a dedicated airflow path. The permitted ambient range is 0 – 45 °C, which is the temperature window for normal electronic operation. With an enclosure rated IP20, the unit is finger-safe but still requires installation in a closed cabinet for protection from dust and debris. It can be installed at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level without derating. The controller carries Function code 01, which identifies the assigned application class for this version.
For storage, the electronics can remain unpowered between −30 – 85 °C, allowing the unit to be kept in non-operating inventory without damage from normal warehouse temperature swings.
