Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A100-RS01-03-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDS Drive Controllers series. It converts the shared DC bus power of an Indramat drive rack into precise three-phase outputs that regulate synchronous or asynchronous servo motors. This gives automated handling, packaging, and machining equipment closed-loop velocity, position, and torque control. Its rack-based format also supports coordinated multi-axis systems that use a common power source for several motion channels.
Communication with a supervisory PLC is handled over the SERCOS interface, so real-time motion commands and diagnostic data travel on the same fiber-optic ring that links neighboring drives. The unit can supply a continuous phase current of 100 A, allowing mid-range and larger motors to run without derating under normal thermal conditions. Heat is removed by air drawn from outside the control cabinet, which helps prevent recirculation of warm enclosure air. The housing meets IP20, which helps block accidental finger contact with energized parts when the drive is installed in a clean electrical panel. Position feedback from the motor arrives through resolver feedback, and this analog method remains tolerant of electrical noise while supporting sinusoidal current control at high speeds.
The controller operates continuously within a 0–45 °C operating range, so full current is available as long as the cabinet temperature stays within that limit. During transport or warehouse storage, the electronics withstand a -30–85 °C storage range without damage. Cooling performance and dielectric clearances remain within their intended limits up to a 1000 m installation elevation. Internal parameter compatibility is tied to Function ID 01, while the hardware revision is listed as Version 1. These identifiers keep the controller matched to the intended parameter set and product revision.
