Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.1-A100-DS52-00-FW as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. This unit is a digital AC servo drive controller that supplies power and regulation to matched synchronous or induction motors in automated handling, packaging, and machining cells. By integrating directly with modular drive racks, it serves as the closed-loop axis controller for coordinated motion in multi-axis systems. The controller regulates motor current in real time so commanded speed, torque, and position remain stable during acceleration, dwell, and deceleration.
Communication between the drive and the master control is carried over the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic cyclic exchange of velocity, position, and diagnostic data. The power stage is rated for a continuous output of 100 A, which is the maximum phase current the controller can supply under steady-state load. Thermal management relies on external air cooling, so ambient air from outside the cabinet passes across the heat sink instead of using internal recirculation. Electrical protection inside the panel is supported by an IP20 housing that helps guard against finger contact in enclosed switchgear. Because the enclosure is intended for cabinet installation, it is not designed for open mounting in exposed work areas. Reliable operation is maintained across an ambient temperature range of 0 to 45 °C. Position feedback and commutation signals are processed through digital servo feedback, giving the drive the resolution needed for stable speed and torque control when paired with a compatible motor and feedback device.
For proper service life, the controller should be installed no higher than 1000 m above sea level because lower air density at greater altitudes reduces cooling capacity and increases thermal stress on internal components. When powered down, it tolerates storage temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, which allows storage in non-conditioned warehouse spaces without damage to passive parts. Storage should remain dry and free of condensation before power is applied. The unit is part of Line 02 and uses Version 1 hardware.
