The DDS02.1-A100-DS15-00/S002 servo drive is a configured drive system for industrial servo motors. It is a compact drive package designed by a group of renowned and well-trained experts of Rexroth Indramat. This servo drive uses one supply unit in conjunction with a diverse range of servo motors to generate a rapid-response, highly precise control, which is particularly well suited for use in machine tools, textile, printing, and packaging machinery as well as robotics and handling machines. The servo drive connects to the industrial motor through two major electrical cables; the power cable and the motor feedback cable.
The DDS02.1-A100-DS15-00/S002 servo drive runs with a serial real-time communication system (SERCOS) which serves as a digital interface of various control components; it provides a set of communication protocols that coordinates the signals and commands sent between control modules. The DDS02.1-A100-DS15-00/S002 drive operates with a peak current of 100 amperes and is rated with 97 watts of power dissipation in its control cabinet. This drive controller has the advantage that most of the energy lost by the unit is directly conducted outside and does not accumulate within the control cabinet. The unique heat regulation mechanism of the DDS02.1-A100-DS15-00/S002 servo drive allows it to be mounted into small control cabinets or housing without requiring extensive heat conductance or extensive heat-exchanging units. The drive controller and its supply unit are mounted into a control cabinet or a closed housing that meets protection category IP 54. The unit is protected against penetration by a solid extrinsic object with a diameter exceeding 50 mm.
The DDS02.1-A100-DS15-00/S002 drive controller can generate a leakage current of about 3.5 miliamperes; thus, it must be securely grounded before it is operated in industrial production systems.
