The DDS02.1-A100-DS03-01 is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the DDS Drive Controllers series. Acting as a digital module for AC servo regulation, it converts motion commands from higher-level control systems into precise motor currents that govern positioning, speed, and torque in automated machines. Its design combines a power stage, logic board, and communication interface so the unit can be mounted alongside other DDS modules inside multi-axis control cabinets. This arrangement makes it suitable for coordinated axes in handling systems, packaging equipment, and other machinery that depends on accurate closed-loop motion.

Communication with the machine control is handled through a SERCOS interface, a real-time fiber-optic bus that synchronizes multiple axes through time-slot messaging. For storage and transport, the controller tolerates temperatures from -30–85 °C, which protects the electronics during shipping or warehouse storage. Installation is approved up to 1000 m above sea level, and operation above that height requires additional derating. Position data from the attached motor is processed through digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to close high-resolution control loops without external converters. This feedback path supports accurate monitoring of rotor position and speed during dynamic axis movement. Within the DDS architecture, the unit is assigned to Line 02.
