Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A050-R/S002 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It forms the power interface between a motion control system and the motor, converting shared DC-bus energy into regulated three-phase output while monitoring position, velocity, and torque. By using a modular slot in the Line 02 platform, it supports coordinated multi-axis operation in automated machinery, conveyors, and packaging stations.
This controller supplies a continuous motor phase current of 50 A, giving mid-range servomotors the headroom needed for rapid acceleration without thermal derating. Its power section is tied to a shared DC link held at 300 VDC, allowing several drives to recycle braking energy internally and reduce overall cabinet losses. The housing has an IP20 protection category, so it must be installed inside an enclosure while still allowing access to field wiring. Safe operation is maintained within an ambient range of 0 to 45 °C; outside this range, the heat sink cannot guarantee rated output. Reliable performance is maintained at installation altitudes up to 1000 m, where thinner air limits convection. Forced ventilation is not required, and the unit draws cooling air directly from outside the control cabinet, simplifying panel airflow design.
Additional low-power circuits are served by the internal logic supply, which requires 500 mA at +24 V, while resolver decoding electronics process rotor angle using resolver feedback for noise-immune position control. A dedicated starting-lockout circuit consumes only 1.5 W, permitting hardware interlocks without adding significant load to auxiliary supplies. Power terminals accept M6 lugs and are tightened to 5 Nm, whereas the DC-bus link uses 3 Nm fasteners to secure ring connectors. When de-energized, the unit can be stored from -30 to 85 °C without condensation, allowing equipment to be shipped or warehoused in unconditioned environments.
