Bosch Rexroth Indramat's DDS02.1-A050-DS24-03-FW is a modular drive controller used in multi-axis production cells. It regulates torque, speed, and position of AC servo motors so coordinated axes can operate from a common DC bus in pick-and-place systems, conveyor sections, and indexing tables. Mounted on DIN rails inside machine cabinets, the unit converts commands from a master motion controller into controlled motor current for repeatable movement. Its modular format fits shared-drive racks where several axes must operate together in a compact cabinet layout. This arrangement supports synchronized motion across separate machine sections without requiring a separate power stage for each axis.

The drive communicates through a SERCOS interface, which provides deterministic cycle timing for position and speed control over a fiber-optic network. It can deliver up to 50 A of continuous output current, allowing connection to motors that require strong continuous torque without immediate thermal derating. Heat is removed by air cooling from outside the cabinet, so the unit depends on external airflow instead of recirculating warm air already trapped in the enclosure. Rotor position is processed through digital servo feedback, allowing closed-loop operation with stable speed regulation and accurate positioning across changing loads. The cooling method also helps keep heat away from nearby control electronics that share the same cabinet.

The controller is part of Line 02 and Version 1. Within the DDS Drive Controllers series, it shares bus-bar connections, encoder wiring paths, and mechanical spacing with related modules on the same platform. This layout allows different current ratings to be installed in one rack while keeping module alignment orderly and signal routing direct. Uniform spacing also helps organize cabinet depth and leaves room for adjacent power, control, and feedback connections.
