The DDS02.1-A050-DG01-00 drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is a digital AC servo drive controller that conditions power for servo axes and interprets motion commands from a host control system. In an automation cell, the unit delivers regulated current and voltage to matched motors so position, speed, and torque can follow programmed motion profiles in packaging lines, printing presses, and material-handling gantries. By combining power conversion with closed-loop control functions, it supports repeatable axis response during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-speed operation.
Thermal regulation is handled by external air cooling, so cabinet air does not recirculate through the heat sink and the enclosure can stay cleaner during operation. The controller provides a continuous output capability of 50 A, and the connected motor and upstream protection must be selected for that current level. A housing classification of IP20 limits installation to dry, protected panels, and finger-safe clearances must be maintained.
