Product Description:
The DDS02.1-A050-DA01-00 is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. In an automation cell, this controller supplies regulated three-phase power to a matched servo motor and supervises its feedback loop so that commanded motion profiles are executed accurately. By pairing with an Indramat supply module, it forms part of a modular drive stack that can combine multiple axes without additional interface boards. The drive closes the current and feedback loops locally, which helps the connected axis respond quickly to command changes and load disturbances. It can serve as the servo power stage for indexing tables, feed axes, and general motion systems that rely on analog command signals.
Drive-to-control communication is handled through an analog interface, which accepts ±10 V velocity or torque commands directly from a PLC. To protect cabinet electronics, the unit uses external air cooling; ambient air is drawn across the heat sink from outside the enclosure so internal temperatures stay within limits without using cabinet air conditioning. The enclosure has an IP20 protection category, indicating finger-safe access but no water sealing, so installation must remain inside a closed panel. Current capability reaches 50 A, enabling the controller to energize medium-frame Indramat motors without derating during acceleration. Rotor position is resolved through digital servo feedback, allowing the controller to compute commutation vectors with single-increment accuracy at every loop cycle.
Continuous duty is permitted from 0 to 45 °C, and storage is permitted from -30 to 85 °C when the unit is not powered. Installation height can reach 1000 m above sea level before temperature or current derating tables apply. At higher elevations, reduced air density can lower cooling effectiveness, so current or temperature derating may be required. The unit carries Function ID 01 and is part of Line 02 with Version 1.
