The DDS02.1-A050-DA01-01 belongs to the DDS Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed inside a control cabinet, this module receives motion commands from a PLC or CNC and converts them into regulated three-phase output for a connected AC servomotor. By managing torque, speed, and position in real time, it enables coordinated multi-axis movement in assembly stations, packaging lines, and material-handling equipment. This arrangement keeps the power electronics in the cabinet while the motor and feedback connections run to the machine axis, reducing the amount of active drive hardware mounted on the machine.
This controller can deliver up to 50 A of continuous output current, so medium-frame motors can reach rated torque without derating. Command signals are accepted through an analog interface, and the ±10 V format allows the motion processor to issue velocity or torque references with minimal conversion delay. Rotor position and velocity are returned to the drive through digital servo feedback, giving the control loop high-resolution data for precise positioning. Thermal energy is removed by external air from outside the control cabinet, so fresh air drawn through the heat sink helps prevent heat buildup inside enclosed panels. Using outside air also reduces recirculation of warm cabinet air around the power stage. The unit is part of Line 02.
