Product Description

Drive controllers are one of the products in the IndraDrive product line by Bosch Rexroth. They are used to control electric motors and monitor their operation. The compact single-axis CSH control section with numerous interfaces and functionalities is one of the components of this drive controller.

The CSH02.1B-CC-EC-ET-S4-NN-NN-FW is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s CSH control sections built for maximum performance and flexibility. It is equipped with sercos III serving as a master for communication, with a connection point meeting the IEEE 802.3 standard. A Multi-Ethernet module is also built into the CSH control section to accommodate various Ethernet field bus systems. These include PROFINET IO, sercos III, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP. To aid easy fault identification and resolution, the communication modules have connected LEDs with different colors and flashing patterns. The LEDs indicate the availability of network connections and data transmission. This CSH model has a maximum pulse width of 1ms and a typical inrush current above 5A.

User safety is prioritized in the design of the CSH02.1B-CC-EC-ET-S4-NN-NN-FW, as seen in its Safe Motion module. This safety technology feature provides application-related safety features such as safe homing procedure, safe direction, safe communication, and safely-limited position. Some of the encoders that are compatible with this CSH model are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, Hall sensor box SHL02.1, and the MSM motor encoder. They have supply voltages of 5V and 12V and are connected to it via its multi-encoder interface. Operating the control section in industrial environments is recommended because it is a product of category C3, according to IEC 61800‑3.
