Bosch supplies control units as part of fully assembled controllers. Other controller components include a power section, firmware and control panel. Operators can use a standard control panel to configure the control unit. Standard control panels for IndraDrive devices do not support hot plug. Therefore they must be connected before the control unit is powered on. The standard control panel has a single-line display and four-button keypad. The display shows operating states, command and error diagnoses and pending warnings. Using the four keys, a service technician, in addition to communication via the commissioning tool or NC control unit, can have extended diagnoses displayed at the drive controller and trigger simple commands. This modules several safety functions that include safe door locking, safe diagnostic outputs, safe maximum speed, safe stop, safe direction, safe communication, safely-monitored deceleration and safe input/outputs.
