CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-NW is a digital control unit. It performs digital processing and program processing for the IndraDrive controller it is part of. Other components of the controller include a control panel, a power section and firmware. The CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-NW does not include either the control panel or the firmware. Both of these items need to be ordered separately. The control unit plugs into a power section. Bosch normally supplies the control section as a component of a fully assembled controller. However, it can be ordered as a separate item. When ordered separately, a trained professional must perform assembly of the control panel with the power section. The control panel belongs to the category of advanced control panels. It is optimized for single-axis control applications. Its basic unit contains slots for optional modules that operators can order to match it to application requirements.
The factory-installed modules on the CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-NW include a SERCOS III communication interface (master mode), two multi-encoder interfaces, a Multi-Ethernet interface, and a safe torque off (STO) safety module. SERCOS is a standard for serial communication that complies with the Ethernet standard (IEEE 802.3). Both the SERCOS and Ethernet interfaces on the control unit support 100 Mbps data transmission. Operators can connect these interfaces in multiple network topologies including ring, line and start. Ring topology offers multiple benefits, the biggest of which is redundancy. All relevant safety and operating instructions related to the control unit and associated equipment are described in the product manual. Bosch is not liable for damages resulting from inappropriate use of the control unit. The operator forfeits the guarantee and the right to payment of damages resulting from any inappropriate Bosch product use.
