The CSH02.1B-ET-EC-NN-S5-NN-NN-FW is a programmable motion controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Designed for industrial automation cells, the module supervises a single servo axis, acquires analog and digital feedback, and exchanges real-time data with distributed controllers. Its role is to synchronize drive functions, manage process variables, and interface safety routines within compact machine platforms. It can also coordinate motion-related signals and local machine responses without requiring a separate standalone controller for each axis.

For process measurement, the controller offers three analog inputs, two of which are rated for current sensing, while the third can be wired for voltage or sensor signals. The analog path supports a bandwidth of 1.3 kHz, allowing acquisition of rapidly changing setpoints. Two analog outputs drive actuators with a resolution of 6 mV/incr, enabling fine voltage trimming. A dedicated multi-encoder interface accepts incremental or absolute feedback, and the axis logic supports one mechanical channel. Network traffic is routed through the Multi-Ethernet communication port, so EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and PROFINET devices can share the same hardware. 11 digital inputs capture fast switching states, while five configurable digital I/O lines expand machine diagnostics. Continuous logic and fieldbus operation draw only 17 W of control power, which helps limit heat inside the cabinet. Two probe inputs provide latch functions for precise position capture during registration and timing tasks.

The discrete outputs can supply field devices with up to 500 mA, and a separate safety-rated channel is limited to 350 mA for use with the integrated Safe Motion (S5) technology that executes STO and speed surveillance functions. The controller also includes 3 optional slots for plug-in modules that extend communication or feedback capability. This layout supports later functional expansion without changing the base controller.
